I found this strange fruit and I thought I would give it a go. I bought this polka dot scarf a couple of months back and have been afraid to paint it as it is so bright, but then I thought I don't have to paint it that bright do I!

I have to figure out the colours here on the photograph, they appear muted, in real life they are brighter. so I will have to tweak it to get it right.

Cinamon Bun No.1

One of my favourite treats is a cinamon bun, and I am surprised I was able to hang on this long with out eating it. we did have five others and happily they were eaten.

I tried to use grey this time and I had to use a very limited palette red blue and yellow white. that's half of what I normally use, I'll see later what else I can make happen with this limited palette in terms of colour and greys.

this is the largest painting that I have been able to pull off. I like the jug a lot.

I'm going to do a series of paintings on leaves they are so subtle in variation of colour and value.
